Joining the FCBA is reasonably priced at $20.00 per individual, and dues cover from December to December. A membership includes a monthly newsletter, access to the Member's Area of this website, access to the FCBA Library (beekeeping books and videos), and a listing on the Honey Locator (if you produce honey to sell).
When you join the FCBA, you also become a member of the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association (NCSBA). This additional membership provides you with discounts on beekeeping magazine subscriptions, a beekeeping calendar, the NC Bee Buzz (a tri-annual newsletter), plus much more.
At the February 2009 meeting of the FCBA, a constitutional change was passed by a 2/3 majority vote. This change requires that those joining the FCBA also join the NCSBA; annual dues are to be $20 instead of $10. If you already have a membership to the NCSBA, you will not be required to pay the price of the NCSBA dues; instead, you will pay $5 to cover your FCBA dues. These changes will formally begin in 2010.
Come to one of our meetings. For a complete schedule, please check the Program Calendar 2010 for details about times and programs. There's no obligation to pay dues to attend a meeting, and the whole family is invited.
